Data We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, password (hashed with bcrypt — we never store plaintext passwords)
• Business profile data: industry categories, certifications, business location (state/city/ZIP)
• Usage data: pages visited, contracts viewed, contracts saved, actions taken in the app
• Payment data: processed by Stripe. BidBridge does not store full credit card numbers.
• Communications: emails you send to our support team

How We Use Your Data

• To match your business profile against federal contract opportunities from SAM.gov
• To send deadline alert emails for contracts you've saved
• To process subscription payments via Stripe
• To improve BidBridge's matching algorithm
• To respond to support requests

What We Do NOT Do

• We do not sell your data to third parties
• We do not share your business profile with government agencies
• We do not submit bids on your behalf — you remain in full control of any bid submission on SAM.gov

Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active plus 90 days after cancellation, then permanently deleted.

Third-Party Services

• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — email delivery
• Vercel/Coolify — hosting
• OpenAI — matching analysis (contract text only, no personal data sent)
